Introduction:
The smart city technical group, with a specific focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, data engineering, and computer automation, is a specialized team formed with the objective of integrating advanced technologies to enhance urban living. This group leverages cutting-edge solutions to optimize city operations, improve public services, and ensure the safety and privacy of its citizens. The smart city technical group with a focus on AI, cybersecurity, data engineering, and computer automation where the multidisciplinary team of experts will be facilitating for the strategic deployment and management of intelligent technologies within urban environments. The goal is to harness these technologies to create more efficient, secure, and responsive cities. These include, but not limited, to the following roles to be undertaken;
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) Specialist – Develop and implement AI algorithms and systems for various applications such as traffic management, predictive maintenance, public safety, and personalized citizen services.
- Cybersecurity Expert – Protect the city’s digital infrastructure and data from cyber threats and ensure the privacy and security of citizens’ information.
- Data Engineer – Design, construct, and maintain the data architecture that supports smart city initiatives.
- Automation Engineer – Implement automation solutions to streamline city operations and improve efficiency.
OBJECTIVE:
The smart city technical group plays a crucial role in assisting the relevant stakeholders with the planning, implementation, and management of smart / digital city initiatives. These include, but not limited to, consulting, assisting and facilitating, with respect to the above in the;
- Development of a National Strategic Plan
- Needs Assessment and Feasibility Studies
- Technology Selection and Integration
- Data Management and Security
- Infrastructure Development
- Pilot Projects and Testing
- Local and International Collaboration and Partnerships
- Regulatory and Compliance Management
- Public Engagement and Education:
- Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Funding and Budget Management:
- Sustainability and Resilience Planning:
By focusing on these areas, the smart city technical group can effectively guide the transformation of urban spaces into smart, sustainable, and liveable environments for all Malaysian citizens.
