Institutions of Higher Learning (IHLs) are expected to embed considerations of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) within their engineering curricula. In line with this, the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC) and Engineering Technology Accreditation Council (ETAC) require Programme Outcomes 1, 3 and 6 to appropriately incorporate relevant UN SDGs in curriculum design, consistent with the implementation deadline for Washington, Sydney and Dublin Accords signatories by June 2026.

The aim for this course is to elaborate the underlying principles, sharing practical examples, and discussing accreditation expectations related to the integration of UN SDGs into engineering programmes.
